As a German board-certified Neurosurgeon and a Certified Pediatric Neurosurgeon through the Neurosurgical Academy of the German Society of Neurosurgery (DGNC), Dr. El Damaty has dedicated his career to advancing treatments and outcomes for pediatric patients. Dr. El Damaty’s professional timeline is a testament to rigorous academic dedication and continuous growth. His journey through the highest tiers of the German medical system includes impressive milestones:
Dr. med. (Promotion): He earned his doctorate from Ernst-Moritz-Arndt-Universität, Greifswald in 2016.
Priv.-Doz. (Habilitation): Between 2017 and 2021, he completed his Habilitation at Ruprecht-Karl-Universität (Heidelberg University).
Commitment to Education: Recognizing the importance of teaching the next generation, he earned the Baden-Württemberg Certificate for University Didactics (2021–2022) and actively serves as a tutor for DGNC pediatric neurosurgery courses.
apl. Professor: Most recently, in September 2024, he was appointed as an außerplanmäßiger (adjunct) Professor at the Medical Faculty of Heidelberg University.
