Following Dr. Amer graduation, he has built a career that combines academic medicine, clinical practice, research, and medical education.

He progressed through academic ranks at Zagazig University until becoming Professor of Dermatology, Venereology, Laser and Cosmetic Dermatology in 2020. Alongside his academic role, he has served as Manager of the Laser Center Unit at Zagazig University, Senior Consultant of Dermatology and Venereology at the Ministry of Health, and Head of Dermatology Department within the Public Health Insurance system.

His professional focus has been on medical, laser, and cosmetic dermatology. He has also established and expanded private dermatology and laser practices while maintaining active involvement in teaching, scientific research, and international professional organizations.

In parallel, he has demonstrated leadership beyond academia through his role as Supervisor of the Football Sector at Al‑Gezira Club for the past three years, where he led the team to achieve consecutive promotions from the 4th to the 3rd division, and from the 3rd to the 2nd division in successive seasons, reflecting strong capabilities in team building, strategic planning, and performance development.
