A Distinguished Career in Breast Imaging and Women’s Health
Dr. Iman Adel began her professional journey in 1996 as a Registrar at Kasr El Aini Hospital, one of Egypt’s most prestigious medical institutions.
In 1997, Dr. Adel joined the Police Authority Medical Service at Agouza Police Hospital, where she progressed from Resident to Radiology Specialist over a nine-year period, building a strong foundation in diagnostic radiology and patient care.
Driven by a passion for women's health, Dr. Adel became a Radiology Specialist and Breast Imaging and Intervention Consultant at Cairo Scan’s Women’s Imaging Unit between 2001 and 2013.
Her expertise and leadership continued to grow as she served as Radiology Consultant and Supervisor of the Women’s Imaging Unit at the Police Authority Hospital from 2006 to 2017. In 2013, she joined Techno Scan as a Breast Imaging and Intervention Consultant, a position she continues to hold, contributing significantly to the development of specialized breast imaging services.
A landmark chapter in Dr. Adel’s career began in 2007 with the Egyptian National Campaign’s Women’s Health Outreach Program. Throughout more than a decade of service, she assumed progressively senior leadership roles, including Reporting Coordinator, Radiology Team Leader at the Center of Excellence, Training Coordinator, Public Awareness Coordinator, Quality Control Supervisor, Supervisor of the Multi-Disciplinary Unit and One-Stop Clinic, and ultimately Operational Manager. These roles enabled her to combine clinical excellence with strategic leadership, helping to enhance the quality, accessibility, and effectiveness of women's healthcare services across Egypt.
Since 2019, she has continued this mission as Breast Imaging and Intervention Consultant and Operational Manager for the Presidential Initiative for Women’s Health, one of the country's most impactful public health programs.
In addition to her clinical and operational achievements, Dr. Adel has held several executive leadership positions that reflect her extensive management expertise. She has served as Radiology Consultant and Supervisor of the Women’s Imaging Unit at the Police Medical Complex–Police Academy Hospital since 2017.
In 2022 and 2023, she was appointed Medical Operations Director and Deputy Group CEO of Ray Lab Group, overseeing operations for both Cairo Scan and Techno Scan. Most recently, in 2024, she assumed the position of Breast Imaging and Intervention Consultant and Head of the Women’s Unit at the Police National Security Agency.
